AuthorAZ launched on July 29 for iPhone and iPad, plus Android phones and tablets. It is not a cloud dashboard and it is not another AI layer between you and your manuscript. It is a local-first author vault for the materials you already own—and the small, repeatable jobs that make a publishing life less scattered.

A book is more than one file

The moment a book moves beyond a draft, its working parts multiply. There is a description in one document, retailer copy in another, a current price in a note, a cover variation somewhere on a drive, and an old buy link that nobody wants to paste again. That is manageable for one title. It gets fragile across a backlist, multiple formats, or more than one pen name.

The vault gives each title a home for the business information that keeps resurfacing: book metadata, covers, ISBNs, pricing, keywords, categories, buy links, notes, and reusable copy. The point is not to make the work feel grander. It is to make the next request easier to answer without rebuilding the same little file hunt from memory.

Your manuscript is reference material—not training data

Importing a manuscript into AuthorAZ creates a read-only snapshot for useful local tasks. You can search across imported text, scan for possible quote candidates, and listen with on-device voices when you want to proof by ear. The original manuscript remains your working file; AuthorAZ is there to help you find, check, and revisit it.

That distinction matters. Search is literal search, not a conversational prompt. Listening is a proofreading aid, not synthetic narration for publication. Quote discovery is a way to surface your own lines, not a generator rewriting them into something else. The workflow begins with your source material and stays accountable to it.

Make social content from the work you have already made

Social media is often where authors are pushed into the least useful loop: reopen the book, search for a line, copy it into another app, rebuild the design, and hope the new version still sounds like the author. AuthorAZ brings the source and the layout work closer together without treating either as disposable input.

The Studio makes three kinds of export-ready assets. Quote Cards turn saved manuscript lines into clean images. Review Cards preserve the review text, reviewer attribution, and rating as source-based material. Custom Carousels let you arrange quote, review, and author-written slides into a multi-image post. You can apply your own colors and branding, save the project, and export the images ready to share.

It is deliberately not an AI content machine. AuthorAZ does not invent a caption, rewrite a review, or ask a model to imitate your voice. It gives authors a more reliable way to reuse the language, social proof, and visual system they have already earned. Privacy is the operating model

“Private” should mean more than a reassuring label. In AuthorAZ, your book library lives on the device rather than an AuthorAZ server. There is no AuthorAZ account to create, no cloud library to synchronize, no in-app tracking, and no AI reading the manuscript. The app is designed to be useful precisely because it does not need to turn your work into a service’s raw material.

Local does not mean trapped. A password-encrypted backup gives you a file you can keep where you choose and restore when you move devices. That is a more honest recovery path than pretending a private library should quietly become someone else’s cloud database. Who AuthorAZ is for

AuthorAZ is for the author with a growing number of moving parts: the novelist managing a series, the nonfiction author carrying several editions, the pen-name publisher separating distinct catalogues, and anyone who is tired of their book business being scattered across notes, folders, and unrelated apps.

It is not a replacement for a word processor, a professional editor, a cloud collaboration system, or a full marketing strategy.
